Croatian President Ivo Josipovic on Monday received Albania's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ilir Meta, the President's Office said in a press release.
President Josipovic and Meta reaffirmed the very good relations between Croatia and Albania at all levels, expressing hope that their good relations would help boost trade between the two countries.
In that regard, Meta said that liberalisation of the visa regime and better transport connections between Albania and Croatia would contribute to their economic cooperation.
Also discussed was regional cooperation as the basis of peace and stability in the region. It was assessed that Croatia's experience from the European Union accession process would benefit Albania and that closer cooperation between the two countries was expected in that regard.
