Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on Friday received Christian Schwarz-Schilling, a former international community High Representative to Bosnia and Herzegovina, for talks on the situation in this region, notably in Bosnia, Mesic's office said in a press release. Schwarz-Schilling fully agreed with the positions of Mesic, who recently pointed several times to the possibly negative long term consequences if trends leading to the disintegration of Bosnia were not stopped. The two officials agreed that apart from the European Union, the US must become involved to a greater extent, and as soon possible, in efforts to stabilise Bosnia.
