President of Republic of Croatia Stjepan Mesić received Franco Frattini, Minister of Foreign Affains of Italian Republic.
Both officials confirmed very good bilateral relations and growing economic cooperation. 
Minister Frattini emphasized the importance of completing the accession process and that the border dispute with Slovenia should not slow down the Croatia's accession to the European Union.
President Mesić informed his guest about the situation in region and both officials agreed that all countries of Sout-East Europe should join the European Union.
