Croatian President Stjepan Mesić received Premysl Sobotka, President of Czech Senate.
President Mesić informed Sobotka of the situation in the region, notably in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo.
"As a small country, Croatia wants to lead a principled policy and pushes for the application of international law and international conventions in the settlement of the border dispute with Slovenia," President Mesić stated that referring to Slovenia's blockade of Croatia's accession negotiations with the European Union.
Mr. Sobotka emphasized that he felt the obstacles to EU enlargement should be removed by the end of this year.
