Croatian President Stjepan Mesić received outgoing U.S. Ambassador to Croatia Robert Bradtke. 
President Mesić decorated Ambassador Bradtke with a high state decoration for his contribution to the development and strengthening of the Croatian-U.S. relations. On that occasion, President Mesić emphasized that Ambassador Bradtke played an "important role in developing the relations between two countries." 
Ambassador Bradtke, who presented his credentials in July 2006, thanked President Mesić for the high state decoration adding that Croatia would always have a friend in him.
