Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on Thursday issued a message on the occasion of the beginning of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting, extending his best wishes to the head of the Islamic community, Sevko Omerbasic, and all Islamic believers in Croatia.
Ramadan, the month of fasting which starts on Friday, is the spiritual preparation of Muslims for Ramadan Bayram, a three-day religious holiday.
