President of Republic of Croatia Stjepan Mesić held talks with the Israeli minister. The two officials agreed that Croatian-Israeli relations were very good, but that the good political relations were not accompanied by adequate economic cooperation.
A proposal was presented at the meeting to organise a Croatian-Israeli economic forum, with the participation of representatives of the two countries' authorities, to tackle administrative obstacles to closer economic cooperation and investment.
Minister Lieberman also informed President Mesić about his country's position on the Middle East crisis and peace process.
