{"id":10167,"date":"2021-05-31T13:09:50","date_gmt":"2021-05-31T11:09:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/?post_type=news&#038;p=10167"},"modified":"2021-05-31T13:09:52","modified_gmt":"2021-05-31T11:09:52","slug":"president-milanovic-associations-of-persons-with-disabilities-are-doing-very-important-work","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/en\/news\/president-milanovic-associations-of-persons-with-disabilities-are-doing-very-important-work\/","title":{"rendered":"President Milanovi\u0107: Associations of Persons with Disabilities Are Doing Very Important Work"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 attended a Conference for heads of associations of persons with disabilities organized by the Croatian Union of Societies of Physically Disabled Persons as part of the implementation of the three-year \u201cSocialization, education and recreation of persons with disabilities\u201d programme, which is in its first year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re doing very important work, and the state is helping you\u201d, President Milanovi\u0107 said in his address at the opening of the Conference. He told the participants that they should take advantage of the money available in European Funds. \u201cAll of this should be utilized, each euro because this is money that\u2019s available. It\u2019s a plain and simple fact, and the reason why we\u2019re in the European Union\u201d, the President noted, adding that in the past twenty years the ideals regarding the European Union have changed. \u201cToday it\u2019s a lot of money that should be absorbed. This is the essence of the European Union. And a correct relation with others because it is a community of peace and a large project for peace\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The President of the Republic referred to the unemployment rate in Croatia saying that it\u2019s lower than ever before and a result of external circumstances. \u201cThe borders are open and people can go abroad. And they\u2019re leaving in big numbers and that\u2019s our loss. It\u2019s no misfortune because others are also in the same situation, practically all Eastern European states.
