{"id":10304,"date":"2021-06-10T14:18:03","date_gmt":"2021-06-10T12:18:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/?post_type=news&#038;p=10304"},"modified":"2021-06-10T14:18:07","modified_gmt":"2021-06-10T12:18:07","slug":"president-milanovic-receives-hrabri-telefon-delegation","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/en\/news\/president-milanovic-receives-hrabri-telefon-delegation\/","title":{"rendered":"President Milanovi\u0107 Receives Hrabri Telefon Delegation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 received representatives of <em>Hrabri telefon<\/em> [Brave telephone], a non-governmental and non-profit organization providing direct support to abused and neglected children and their families, which also works to prevent children and youth from being abused, neglected and from taking part in unacceptable behaviours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Social worker Vesna Katalini\u0107, professor and pedagogue Emina Horvat, social pedagogue Maja Vukmani\u0107 Rajter and psychology professor Hana Hrpka acquainted President Milanovi\u0107 with the activities of <em>Hrabri telefon<\/em>, which have been implemented continuously since 1997. In its 20-plus-year history, the telephone hotline providing support to children and families has been the organization\u2019s core activity, but the group\u2019s activities have gone beyond that and today they include implementing more than 15 projects at home and abroad. Delegation members also noted that to date a large number of volunteers have joined <em>Hrabri telefon<\/em> and they have invested many years of education and work to help children in need. They drew to the President\u2019s attention the importance of informing citizens about their efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Commenting on the organization\u2019s work, representatives of <em>Hrabri telefon<\/em> pointed out that they are guided by the principle of accessibility, because all activities and services for end users are free, and by the principle of confidentiality.
