The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 met today in the Office of the President with representatives of the Association of Veterans, Soldiers and Patriots, which actively tends to the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of Croatian soldiers and veterans who were defenders in the Homeland War, and provides assistance to those in need with a view to getting rid of the negative effects caused by terrifying wartime and post-war ordeals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The association was founded in 2011 with the aim of looking after the spiritual well-being of Croatian defenders. In 2014 it became a member of the Association of Military Christian Fellowship international organization. The delegation pointed out that the activities of the association are implemented in three areas: social care, sports activities and film production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The delegation explained that social care is implemented through a number of projects and the Charitable Family Shop, while sports activities are carried out through a veterans\u2019 three-team and chess competition. The association made the \u201cBura du\u0161e\u201d <\/em>film as part of the film production segment and is currently shooting two more films: \u201c1991. Tko je tvoj bli\u017enji?\u201d<\/em> and \u201c\u0160ah-rat.\u201d<\/em> The association has successfully implemented projects that were co-financed by the European Social Fund, including the \u2018Care for Veterans\u2019 project and the \u2018Care for Thy Neighbour\u2019 project. The \u2018Care for People and the Environment\u2019 project is currently in the evaluation phase, in collaboration with the \u0160ipan Film School, the delegation pointed out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Attending the meeting in the Office of the President were the President of the Association of Veterans, Soldiers and Patriots Dra\u017een Hr\u017eenjak, Vice President Slobodan Mi\u0161evi\u0107, \u201cAtlantik \u2013 Banovina\u201d project leaders Martin Cruickshank and Werner Ili\u0107, and the scriptwriter and executive producer of the \u201c1991. Tko je tvoj bli\u017enji?\u201d<\/em> film Ante Damjanovi\u0107.
