This award is in memory of the children killed in the Homeland War, civilian victims, award instituted by their mothers in cooperation with Denis Pavela, winner of the state award for promoting children\u2019s rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The presentation of the first \u201cImperijal\u201d award was held on World Children\u2019s Day, 20 November 2021. The Association announced that the award will be presented each year on this day. They explained that \u201cImperijal\u201d is a unique way to mark the suffering of children in the Homeland War whereby \u201cwe respect the past, but look to our children\u2019s future\u201d, and added that they would like \u201cImperijal\u201d to be a symbol not only of suffering, but of love and victory as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The goal of the award is to reward the children for their work and commitment. This year the award was presented to Josip \u0110urovi\u0107, a pupil of Moko\u0161ica Elementary School, for volunteering and participating in a humanitarian event \u201cPodijelimo radost Bo\u017ei\u0107a\u201d (Let\u2019s Share the Joy of Christmas) and for promoting the school\u2019s and his community\u2019s image, and Bruna Stojanovi\u0107, a pupil of Montovjerna Elementary School, for promoting the school\u2019s and the city of Dubrovnik\u2019s image, and Filip Ba\u0161ica, a pupil of Dubrovnik Gymnasium, as president of the National Council of Pupils of the Republic of Croatia, for promoting the school\u2019s image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Association representatives thanked President Milanovi\u0107 for his support in holding the first presentation of the \u201cImperijal\u201d award.
