{"id":15302,"date":"2022-02-02T17:03:00","date_gmt":"2022-02-02T16:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/?post_type=news&#038;p=15302"},"modified":"2022-02-03T09:06:19","modified_gmt":"2022-02-03T08:06:19","slug":"president-milanovic-attends-feast-of-st-blaise-opening-ceremony-in-dubrovnik","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/en\/news\/president-milanovic-attends-feast-of-st-blaise-opening-ceremony-in-dubrovnik\/","title":{"rendered":"President Milanovi\u0107 Attends Feast of St. Blaise Opening Ceremony in Dubrovnik"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 attended the official opening of the Feast of St. Blaise, the patron of the city of Dubrovnik and the Diocese of Dubrovnik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tradition dates back to the 10<sup>th<\/sup> century and is based on the legend of a saint who helped the people of Dubrovnik to defend their freedom during the Venetian siege of the city. This year, for the 1050<sup>th<\/sup> time, Dubrovnik honoured its patron St. Blaise with a traditional ceremony.
