{"id":15392,"date":"2022-02-09T16:00:30","date_gmt":"2022-02-09T15:00:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/?post_type=news&#038;p=15392"},"modified":"2022-02-09T16:00:34","modified_gmt":"2022-02-09T15:00:34","slug":"president-milanovic-meets-with-university-of-zagreb-formula-ai-team-delegation","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/en\/news\/president-milanovic-meets-with-university-of-zagreb-formula-ai-team-delegation\/","title":{"rendered":"President Milanovi\u0107 Meets with University of Zagreb Formula AI Team Delegation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 received today in the Office of the President a University of Zagreb <em>Formula AI <\/em>team thatwon third place at the prestigious EIT Health Hub Know-how and Innovation Community \u2013 Innovation Days Winners&#8217; Event 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students Paola Danjek and Barbara Bili\u0107 won first place at the competition held in Zagreb, and third place at the EIT Health Innovation Days 2021 Winners\u2019 Event, under the professional guidance of their mentors Miro Hegedi\u0107 and Filip Stipan\u010di\u0107 from Lean Startup Croatia. During their meeting with President Milanovi\u0107, they presented their concept of a digital communicator for persons with aphasia \u2013 TONGUEO, which was rated high in a competition including 32 teams from 20 European countries. TONGUEO is a digital communicator whose primary task is to facilitate everyday functional communication of persons with aphasia due to speech loss resulting from a stroke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Presently, TONGUEO is one of the teams participating in a six-month SPOCK programme \u2013 a startup incubator of the University of Zagreb\u2019s Faculty of Electric Engineering and Computing. With support and professional guidance, they are working on the development of the concept and the first prototype.
