{"id":21440,"date":"2023-01-26T14:24:31","date_gmt":"2023-01-26T13:24:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/?post_type=news&#038;p=21440"},"modified":"2023-01-26T14:26:42","modified_gmt":"2023-01-26T13:26:42","slug":"president-milanovic-receives-organizers-and-participants-of-450th-anniversary-event-commemorating-peasant-revolt-in-donja-stubica","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/en\/news\/president-milanovic-receives-organizers-and-participants-of-450th-anniversary-event-commemorating-peasant-revolt-in-donja-stubica\/","title":{"rendered":"President Milanovi\u0107 Receives Organizers and Participants of 450<sup>th<\/sup> Anniversary Event Commemorating Peasant Revolt in Donja Stubica"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 received today the representatives of organizers who will be taking part in an event to commemorate the 450<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the Croatian-Slovene Peasant Revolt in the town of Donja Stubica, as well as Krapina-Zagorje County Prefect \u017deljko Kolar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 450<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary event commemorating the Croatian-Slovene Peasant Revolt in Donja Stubica will be held on 11 February 2023 under the auspices of the President of the Republic and with the support of the Town of Donja Stubica and Krapina-Zagorje County. According to the organizers, 260 costumed participants will take part in the re-enactment of the Peasant Revolt and, in addition to Croatian knights\u2019 societies, visiting societies from Slovenia and Slovakia will also participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The organized commemoration of the historical event known as the Peasant Revolt began 15 years ago. According to County Prefect \u017deljko Kolar it has long since surpassed the county\u2019s boundaries, becoming one of the leading events in Zagorje that is today a major tourist attraction.
