{"id":22628,"date":"2023-04-11T11:34:54","date_gmt":"2023-04-11T09:34:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/?post_type=news&#038;p=22628"},"modified":"2023-04-11T11:35:57","modified_gmt":"2023-04-11T09:35:57","slug":"president-milanovic-attends-500th-edition-of-easter-holster-of-kostel","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/en\/news\/president-milanovic-attends-500th-edition-of-easter-holster-of-kostel\/","title":{"rendered":"President Milanovi\u0107 Attends 500<sup>th<\/sup> Edition of \u201cEaster Holster of Kostel\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 attended today in Kostel the 500<sup>th<\/sup> jubilee edition of the event \u201cEaster Holster of Kostel\u201d [\u201cKostelska uskrsna pi\u0161tola\u201d], which was held under the auspices of the President of the Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recalling his earlier attendance at the event eight years ago, President Milanovi\u0107 praised the 500-year-long tradition of the \u201cEaster Holster of Kostel.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis castle, like most of our castles, has a distant origin. The Keglevi\u0107 family is originally from the Knin area, but they left traces of Croatian culture and history here. This is our nobility, our lineage, and the people here have always been and still are peaceful, which does not mean frightened and withdrawn, but simply rational. People here understand the relationship between man and man. They know what work is and what faith is, in the sense of allegiance and respect. Of course, this does not mean that other people in other parts of Croatia, and probably the whole world, do not know this,\u201d President Milanovi\u0107 said at the opening of the \u201cEaster Holster of Kostel,\u201d extending his best Easter wishes to everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s edition of the \u201cEaster Holster of Kostel\u201d was held at the traditional location, the medieval fortress of Kostelgrad, a protected cultural heritage site. The event\u2019s roots go back to 1523, when it was first held.
