The 308<sup>th<\/sup> edition of the Sinjska Alka will be held this year in Sinj on Sunday, 6 August.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The President of Hungary Katalin Nov\u00e1k will attend the Sinjska Alka tournament at the invitation of President Milanovi\u0107, who is the patron of the event, as in previous years. Her visit to Sinj was agreed in advance with the leadership of the Alka Knights\u2019 Society, which in recent years has endeavoured to internationalize the traditional chivalrous competition held in the town of Sinj and promote it outside the borders of Croatia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As patron of the Sinjska Alka, President Milanovi\u0107 endorsed this effort of the Alka Knights Society and last year invited Borut Pahor, who was President of Slovenia at the time, to the event. Former President Pahor, who visited Sinj in 2022, was the first foreign statesman to attend the Sinjska Alka. In the meantime, in June of this year, Sinjska Alka was promoted in Vienna, the capital of Austria, where the tournament competitors \u2013 the <em>alkars<\/em> \u2013 presented their tradition and culture during a three-day program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While in Sinj, President Milanovi\u0107 and President Nov\u00e1k will visit the Sikirica Gallery and tour the Sinjska Alka Museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the Sinjska Alka tournament, President Milanovi\u0107 will also be accompanied by his wife Sanja Musi\u0107 Milanovi\u0107, while President Nov\u00e1k will be accompanied by her husband Istv\u00e1n Veres.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 will attend this year\u2019s Sinjska Alka tournament together with the President of Hungary Katalin Nov\u00e1k, who will be on a working visit to the Republic of Croatia due to her attendance at the event.
