The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 received today the female and male athletes of the Croatian Poomsae Para Taekwondo national team, who won medals at the recently held World Championships in Mexico, together with the delegation of the Croatian Para Taekwondo Federation. The Croatian Poomsae Para Taekwondo national team won as many as 14 medals in the technical disciplines at the recently held World Championship in Mexico: 10 gold medals, three silver medals and one bronze medal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking about the achieved results, representatives of the Croatian Para Taekwondo Federation pointed out that thanks to the large number of medals won, Croatia took the overall first place at the World Championships, as well as first place in the technical disciplines in the men\u2019s competition and the second place in the technical disciplines in the women\u2019s competition. They emphasized that it was a unique achievement because it was the first time in the history of para taekwondo that one national team won so many medals. The Croatian Para Taekwondo Federation is a national sports federation of taekwondo clubs for persons with disabilities that encourages and promotes the sport of para taekwondo among persons with disabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also attending the meeting in the Office of the President, apart from the President of the Croatian Para Taekwondo Federation and coach Kristijan \u0160kravan, and the Director of the Federation and Technical Section manager Martina Peranovi\u0107, were the gold medal winners at the World Championships in Mexico Leon Bo\u017eo \u0160kravan, Domagoj Vuj\u010di\u0107, Mateo \u0160kara, Tihana Preksavec, Ivona Budi\u0161\u0107ak, Senada Halil\u010devi\u0107, Stipe Bari\u0107, Daniela Topi\u0107, Roko Boduljak and Karla Luka\u010d; silver medal winners Mario Komor\u010dec, Filip Cima\u0161 and Bruno \u017divkovi\u0107; and bronze medal winner Biserka Sambol. With them were the 9th<\/sup> place winners Viktor Frane Gligo and Kristijan Buru\u0161i\u0107, and team leader Borna Soro, coaches Matija Soro and Marijo Renduli\u0107, assistants Viktorija Mihali\u0107, Jasna Jaku\u0161 Topolovec, Lidija Vuj\u010di\u0107, Josip \u0160teko and Mihaela Topi\u0107, as well as assistant coaches Anton Maras and Jerneja Bambi\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

President Milanovi\u0107 was accompanied by the Commissioner of the President of the Republic for Sports \u017deljko Jovanovi\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
