The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 met today with students who are conducting and presenting the first Croatian \u201cFSB Racing Team\u201c, project of the Croatian Student Association of Mechanical Engineering Faculties (CSA-FME). The Project was launched at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Zagreb, and the goal of the project was the concept, development and construction of the one-seater racing car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Team leader and president of the Croatian Student Association of Mechanical Engineering Faculties Filip \u010cavi\u0107, Association secretary-general Matija Lili\u0107, and leader of the project of the first Croatian \u201cFSB Racing Team\u201d Luka Mihelac explained that the project simultaneously includes, on the one hand, the preparation, marketing and construction of the car, and on the other hand, participation in the “Formula Student” competition, which brings to the fore the racing characteristics of the car. Speaking of the project\u2019s results, they said that thus far they have built 10 racing cars, which participated in the “Formula Student” competition across Europe thereby promoting the University of Zagreb as a whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With President Milanovi\u0107 they further discussed existing education programmes at the faculty underlining that in recent years education programmes have been increasingly following trends in industry, which they consider important. They stressed that after their studies they plan to stay in Croatia because they see opportunities for employment in Croatian companies or in independent work, which President Milanovi\u0107 welcomed. \u201cIf you stay to work in Croatia, that\u2019s great news\u201d, President Milanovi\u0107 said, and wished them lots of success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside President Milanovi\u0107 at the meeting was the Adviser to the President for Education Jadranka \u017darkovi\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
