The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 received today a delegation from the Croatian National Theatre in Vara\u017edin, which presented him with the monograph \u201c150 godina kazali\u0161ta u Vara\u017edinu\u201d [150 Years of the Vara\u017edin Theatre], a comprehensive and significant work that chronicles the rich history of the theatre building and the important individuals who have contributed to the performing arts within it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The promotional event for the monograph took place at the end of January. During the meeting, it was highlighted that the monograph covers an impressive creative period, from the construction of the Vara\u017edin theatre building in 1873 to the present day, with contributions from experts in various fields. The monograph showcases all individuals who have contributed to the Croatian National Theatre in Vara\u017edin, using their artistic and organizational skills to maintain its operation, particularly those who played a decisive role in preserving the theatre\u2019s identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Theatre manager Senka Buli\u0107 mentioned that throughout the previous year the Croatian National Theatre in Vara\u017edin had celebrated 150 years of operation in various ways, emphasizing that the monograph \u201c150 godina kazali\u0161ta u Vara\u017edinu\u201d serves as the pinnacle of this significant jubilee. During the presentation of the monograph, she highlighted that Vesna Kosec-Torjanac, the editor of the monograph and the primary author of its texts, along with being a dramaturge at the Croatian National Theatre in Vara\u017edin, assembled a team of 10 experts. Together, they guide the reader through the institution\u2019s history and introduce the individuals who shaped it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to theatre manager Senka Buli\u0107, leading actor Robert Plemi\u0107, drama actor Marinko Le\u0161, leading drama actress Ljiljana Bogojevi\u0107, leading drama actress Helena Mini\u0107 Matani\u0107, and drama actress Elizabeta Brodi\u0107 attended the meeting in the Office of the President.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special Adviser to the President of the Republic for Culture Zdravko Zima accompanied President Milanovi\u0107 at the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
