{"id":29005,"date":"2024-03-28T15:25:47","date_gmt":"2024-03-28T14:25:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/?post_type=news&#038;p=29005"},"modified":"2024-03-28T15:25:48","modified_gmt":"2024-03-28T14:25:48","slug":"president-milanovic-receives-representatives-of-international-womens-club-zagreb-on-its-30th-anniversary","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/en\/news\/president-milanovic-receives-representatives-of-international-womens-club-zagreb-on-its-30th-anniversary\/","title":{"rendered":"President Milanovi\u0107 Receives Representatives of International Women\u2019s Club Zagreb on its 30th Anniversary"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On the 30<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of its work, the President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 met today with the representatives of the International Women\u2019s Club Zagreb, a multicultural club that offers women who have come to Croatia to live and work the opportunity to connect, network, and socialize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kornelia \u017deri\u0107, President of the International Women\u2019s Club Zagreb; Mirta Livingston, Vice President; Suarna \u010colak, Christmas Bazaar Coordinator; Alina Gishyan, Artistic Group Coordinator; Olivera Nohren Veselinovi\u0107, founder of the International Women\u2019s Club Zagreb; and member Yurisley Leal Gonz\u00e1lez introduced President Milanovi\u0107 to the work of the Club, which was founded in 1993. They mentioned that the Club is a non-profit organization and had over 140 members from almost 45 countries last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When discussing the activities organized for Club members, they highlighted various philanthropic events, workshops, cultural activities, day trips, art courses, and visits to local companies and organizations. Particularly emphasized was the Christmas Bazaar, a collaborative effort between the Club and the Office of the President of the Republic for several years under the President\u2019s patronage. This traditional charity event, integral to Zagreb\u2019s Advent festivities, has been held since the Club\u2019s inception on the first Sunday of Advent. Profits generated from the International Women\u2019s Club Zagreb\u2019s activities are donated to various charitable organizations across Croatia.
