Its work has contributed to the development of the University of Zagreb and Croatian science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Society has been presenting the traditional Annual Award for Young Scientists and Artists for Outstanding Achievements in Scientific and Artistic Work covering all scientific fields for 26 years. Attending the meeting were Society president Aleksandar Mar\u0161avelski, vice-president Alka Obadi\u0107, the president of the Society\u2019s Annual Award Committee Mladen Franz, and administrative secretary Hrvoje Tadi\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the meeting, this year\u2019s laureates, winners of the Annual awards were presented to President Milanovi\u0107: Annual award for work in the area of social sciences, field of economy \u2013 Marijana Bubani\u0107 (Faculty of Organization and Informatics), Annual award for work in the area of technical sciences, field of mechanical engineering \u2013 Petar Filipovi\u0107 (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture), Annual award for work in the area of technical sciences, field of electrical engineering \u2013 Mirna Gr\u017eani\u0107 Anti\u010d (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing), Annual award for scientific monograph in the area of social sciences, field of sociology \u2013 Ivan Perkov (Faculty of Croatian Studies), Annual award for work in the area of natural sciences, field of biology \u2013 Najda Rudman (Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry), Annual award for work in the area of technical sciences, field of chemical engineering \u2013 Ana Selak (Croatian Geological Survey), Annual award for work in the area of biotechnical sciences, field of biotechnology \u2013 Danijela \u0160eremet (Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology), Annual award for work in the area of social sciences, field of law \u2013 Nik\u0161a Vojvoda (Faculty of Law), and Annual award for work in the area of biomedicine and healthcare, field of dental medicine \u2013 Ema Vrbanovi\u0107 \u0110uri\u010di\u0107 (School of Dental Medicine).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The award winners presented their projects and research for which they were awarded to President Milanovi\u0107, and discussed their further plans and ambitions. President Milanovi\u0107 congratulated them on their awards and told them it would be nice and good for them to pursue their careers in Croatia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So far, 278 laureates have received the Annual Award for Young Scientists and Artists for Outstanding Achievements in Scientific and Artistic Work, said representatives of the Society of University Teachers and other Scientists.
