At the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Zoran Milanovi\u0107, which will be held in the Office of the President of the Republic on 18 February 2025, the Croatian national anthem will be performed by the Croatian Navy Klapa \u201cSveti Juraj\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Klapa operates under the artistic direction of Dragica Bo\u0161njak, Vladan Vuletin and Mario Bo\u017ei\u0107. The singers that form the Klapa are: Hrvoslav Ku\u017ei\u0107, Stipe Botica, Ivica Kuzmani\u0107, Marko Brali\u0107, Darko Tranfi\u0107, Domagoj \u017dani\u0107, Bruno Andri\u0107, Goran Brali\u0107, Jakov \u0160egvi\u0107 and Dragan Popovi\u0107. The Klapa\u2019s commander is Master Sergeant Marko Brali\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Croatian Navy Klapa \u201cSveti Juraj\u201d was founded in 2001 at the Croatian Navy Missile Base in \u017drnovnica, and today operates as part of the Croatian Armed Forces Orchestra. It performs primarily at ceremonial and protocol events of state institutions of the Republic of Croatia, but also at veterans\u2019, cultural, musical and religious events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past 24 years, the Klapa has performed at events throughout Croatia and the world. On the occasion of the Republic of Croatia’s accession to the European Union on 1 July 2013, the Klapa performed at the ceremony of raising the Croatian flag in front of the European Parliament building in Strasbourg, as well as at a ceremony at the Council of Europe in Brussels. To date, it has released more than 150 audio and video recordings: from traditional Dalmatian klapa songs, through secular and spiritual chants, to patriotic and modern songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Croatian Navy Klapa \u201cSveti Juraj\u201d is the recipient of multiple recognitions and awards. It received a Porin award in 2022 for its album \u201cPlovit se mora\u201d in the best pop folk music category, which was released on the occasion of 20 years of its founding and work. The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 bestowed the Order of the Croatian Trefoil upon the Klapa for extraordinary merit in promoting the standing of the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian Army. The decoration was presented to \u201cKlapa Sveti Juraj\u201d on 4 August 2022, at the Knin fortress on the occasion of Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day and the Day of Croatian Defenders.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
