{"id":36861,"date":"2025-04-05T14:48:00","date_gmt":"2025-04-05T12:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/?post_type=news&#038;p=36861"},"modified":"2025-04-07T10:49:55","modified_gmt":"2025-04-07T08:49:55","slug":"president-milanovic-attends-opening-of-majerje-sports-and-recreational-centre-in-petrijanec","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/en\/news\/president-milanovic-attends-opening-of-majerje-sports-and-recreational-centre-in-petrijanec\/","title":{"rendered":"President Milanovi\u0107 Attends Opening of Majerje Sports and Recreational Centre in Petrijanec"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 attended today the opening ceremony of the new Majerje Sports and Recreational Centre in Petrijanec, built with the aim of unifying sports activities of children and youth, sports clubs and recreational players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the existing large football field, additional sports amenities were built within the scope of the centre: a small football field with artificial turf of a 2400 m\u00b2 area in accordance with FIFA standards, a beach volleyball court, a small athletics track with a street workout park and a basketball court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project, valued at approx. \u20ac448,000, is co-funded by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds, and the Municipal budget. The goal of this project was to make optimal use of the specific space and enable a wide range of outdoor activities, thereby further contributing to the development of the local community and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Addressing the guests at the opening ceremony were the president of the Municipal Council of Petrijanec Martin Eva\u010di\u0107, Vara\u017edin County-prefect An\u0111elko Stri\u010dak, the mayor of Pregrada and member of the European Parliament Marko Ve\u0161ligaj, and the Head of the Municipality of Petrijanec \u017deljko Posavec.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alongside President Milanovi\u0107 was the Commissioner to the President of the Republic for Sports Tomislav
