President Milanovi\u0107 and Prime Minister Fico discussed the political and security situation in Europe and the world, and agreed that further negotiating efforts are primarily needed at the international level to secure peace in Ukraine. Another topic of discussion was the functioning of the European Union in the new international political circumstances, with the agreement that all EU member states have the right to consider their national political and economic interests. They agreed that it is necessary to proceed with EU enlargement to include countries in South-East Europe that meet the conditions.
