The Annual Award winners are Lana Cindri\u0107, Matej Grci\u0107, Carlo Giorgio Grlj, Dora Hlebec, Nino Kadi\u0107, Lovre Maru\u0161i\u0107, Josipa Papac Zja\u010di\u0107 and Josipa Sarjanovi\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Annual Award winners presented to President Milanovi\u0107 their works for which they were awarded, and he congratulated them on this achievement emphasizing that it is important to recognize and value the results of young Croatian scientists and artists. This award is given for scientific and artistic achievements in all scientific and artistic fields, and the right to compete for the Association&#8217;s Annual Award is open to applicants who are 35 years or younger at the time of application and who are employed at faculties, academies or institutes in Zagreb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Association of University Teachers and Other Scientists established the Annual Award with the aim of encouraging scientific research and artistic activities. The awards have been presented since 1998 and so far around 300 young scientists and artists have been awarded. According to representatives of the Association, the majority of applications each year come from the fields of natural and technical sciences.
