The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 received a delegation from the Neretva River Boatmen Association (Udruga la\u0111ara Neretve), which included Luka Or\u0161uli\u0107, President of the Association, and members Ante \u0160prlje, Bo\u017eo Zadro, and Tomislav Mileti\u0107. The Neretva River Boatmen Association is the organizer of the traditional Ladja Marathon on the Neretva River, which will once again be held this year under the patronage of the President of the Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The representatives of the Neretva River Boatmen Association thanked President Milanovi\u0107 for his support and patronage, and updated him on preparations for this year\u2019s 28th<\/sup> edition of the Ladja Marathon, scheduled for the 9th<\/sup> of August. The Ladja Marathon is an amateur sporting event featuring races in traditional, indigenous boats (\u201cladja\u201d) from the Neretva River valley. It is held annually along a 22.5-kilometer route, with oarsmen competing on the Neretva River and its tributaries from Metkovi\u0107 to Plo\u010de.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

President Milanovi\u0107 was accompanied by Melita Muli\u0107, Adviser to the President of the Republic for Human Rights and Civil Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
