{"id":38469,"date":"2025-06-27T15:44:27","date_gmt":"2025-06-27T13:44:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/?post_type=news&#038;p=38469"},"modified":"2025-06-27T15:44:29","modified_gmt":"2025-06-27T13:44:29","slug":"president-milanovic-meets-with-representatives-of-ruder-boskovic-technical-school","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/en\/news\/president-milanovic-meets-with-representatives-of-ruder-boskovic-technical-school\/","title":{"rendered":"President Milanovi\u0107 Meets with Representatives of Ru\u0111er Bo\u0161kovi\u0107 Technical School"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 met today with representatives of the Ru\u0111er Bo\u0161kovi\u0107 Technical School from Zagreb, who informed him about the school\u2019s activities and achievements, as well as the challenges faced by their Regional Center of Competence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The school\u2019s principal, \u0110ur\u0111ica Fu\u0161tar, and the head of the Ru\u0111er Bo\u0161kovi\u0107 Regional Center of Competence, Ervin Palanovi\u0107, highlighted that their school was named the best vocational secondary school in Croatia based on results from the national matriculation exam. The school also received a special award for the best innovation in final projects, and four of its students became national champions in mathematics and English language competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a further success, they emphasized the establishment of the Regional Center of Competence within the school, making the Ru\u0111er Bo\u0161kovi\u0107 Technical School one of 25 vocational secondary schools in Croatia to host such a center. The center is funded through the Operational Programme \u201cEfficient Human Resources\u201d and is valued at over 12 million euros. According to the school representatives, the Center\u2019s new technologies and equipment are enhancing educational processes and teaching methods, developing existing knowledge, and creating new targeted skills that foster stronger links with the regional and broader industrial sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, they are currently unable to use the accommodation facilities within the Center, which are intended for external programme participants, even though the facilities have been completed. The reason is that they have not been able to obtain the necessary permits for use.
