Lawyer Jasna Kotarac Jabuka briefed President Milanovi\u0107 on the progress of the court proceedings and the legal measures taken in Bekavac\u2019s defense. Bekavac is currently awaiting the outcome of his appeal before the Supreme Court of Appeals in Ankara. The meeting also addressed the consular and legal assistance the Republic of Croatia is providing to support the captain in securing a favourable outcome in the appeal process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also present at the meeting were the captain\u2019s brother, Jozo Bekavac, and his former wife, Katja Bekavac.
