The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 met with the author team of the project \u201cPutevima bokeljskih Hrvata\u201d (The Paths of the Croats of the Bay of Kotor) and with representatives of the Tripkovi\u0107 and Dabinovi\u0107 families ahead of today\u2019s premiere of the film \u201cRazglednica iz Dobrote\u201d (Postcard from Dobrota).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the meeting, the film\u2019s author and project leader Toni Dabinovi\u0107 and the project\u2019s ambassador Sanja Putica presented President Milanovi\u0107 with the documentary Postcard from Dobrota, produced as part of this year\u2019s activities within The Paths of the Croats of the Bay of Kotor project. It is a documentary that builds on the years-long research and documentation of the life of the Croats of the Bay of Kotor, contributing to Croatian cultural diplomacy and the preservation of shared heritage, it was said during the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Postcard from Dobrota offers a poetic documentary portrayal of the town of Dobrota near Kotor \u2014 once a centre of maritime affairs and noble families, where Croats lived in large numbers, including the Tripkovi\u0107, Dabinovi\u0107, Radimiri, Ivanovi\u0107 and other families, who still proudly maintain their Bay of Kotor heritage today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Paths of the Croats of the Bay of Kotor project was launched in 2018 with the aim of preserving and promoting the cultural, spiritual, and historical heritage of Croats in Boka Kotorska, as well as their unbreakable bond with their homeland, Croatia. The project operates at the intersection of culture, history, and audio-visual creativity, and over the years has grown into a recognizable platform that brings together the scientific, documentary, and identity dimensions of the Bay of Kotor heritage. Since its inception, the project has been continuously held under the joint patronage of the Presidents of Montenegro and the Republic of Croatia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside representatives of the project\u2019s author team \u2014 president of the Croatian National Council of Montenegro and project partner Zvonimir Dekovi\u0107, project ambassador and long-time collaborator Sanja Putica, author of the film and project leader Toni Dabinovi\u0107, and the project and film coordinator and producer Patrik Kramari\u0107 \u2014 the meeting at the Office of the President was also attended by members of the Dabinovi\u0107 and Tripkovi\u0107 families: Anja Dabinovi\u0107, Mirjana Tripkovi\u0107-Pantar, Ivo Tripkovi\u0107, Andro Tripkovi\u0107, and Josip Tripkovi\u0107, as well as the Admiral of the Boka Navy from Kotor and project partner Mirko Vi\u010devi\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

President Milanovi\u0107 was accompanied by the Head of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic Bartol \u0160imuni\u0107, the Adviser to the President of the Republic for Foreign and European Policy Neven Pelicari\u0107, and the Adviser to the President of the Republic for Human Rights and Civil Society Melita Muli\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
