The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 received today members of \u201cKalnik\u201c Croatian Singing Society from Kri\u017eevci on the occasion of their 125th<\/sup> anniversary. The president of \u201cKalnik\u201c Croatian Singing Society, Davor Konfic, and choir director, Ozren Bogdanovi\u0107, presented their choir to President Milanovi\u0107 which, with brief interruptions, has been successfully in operation since 1900. This year, the choir is marking 125 years of work. Also this year, Kri\u017eevci is celebrating 160 years of uninterrupted organized choral singing thanks to the singing societies that operated before and during the time of \u201cKalnik\u201d Croatian Singing Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The members of the choir and society are individuals, university and high school students. \u201cKalnik\u201d Croatian Singing Society has performed with its women\u2019s, men\u2019s and mixed choirs in numerous cities in Croatia, and has also successfully performed in Austria, Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, while in collaboration with the choir of the Greek Catholic Cathedral it has also performed in North Macedonia, Vojvodina and Bosnia and Herzegovina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The representatives of the Croatian Choir Society \u201cKalnik\u201d noted that they participate in all county and state festivals representing Koprivnica-Kri\u017eevci County, as well as in other state and international competitions, where they have achieved notable results. The choir cultivates a wide repertoire of compositions by domestic and foreign authors from early Renaissance to the works of contemporary authors. They presented their choir to President Milanovi\u0107 with two compositions: \u201cDomovini\u201d and \u201cMoj kraj\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides choir director, Ozren Bogdanovi\u0107, and Society president, Davor Konfic, attending the meeting in the Office of the President of the Republic were Society members: Dunja Mikle\u010di\u0107, Vesna Soka\u010d, Marija Dimja\u0161evi\u0107, Petra Siladi Varovi\u0107, Sa\u0161a Komarica, Bo\u017eo Zlatar, Mirela Rajni\u0161, Kristina Vi\u0161ak, Klara \u0160pani\u0107, Sanja Kemenovi\u0107, Martina Krnji\u0107, Stojan Mi\u0161\u010devi\u0107, Lovro Bari\u010devi\u0107, Tea \u0160atrak, Gordana Ko\u0161\u010dak, Hrvoje Sele\u0161, Jasna Kadoi\u0107, Ksenija Mari\u010di\u0107, Renata Jaj\u010danin, Josip \u0160atrak, Martina Valec-Rebi\u0107, Ante \u017divkovi\u0107, Ivan Car, Mihael Rebi\u0107, Irena Horvat, Rajka Bajsi\u0107-Tepe\u0161, Jelena Vanjhard and Jagoda Hrandek-Ilijevski.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside President Milanovi\u0107 was the Special Adviser to the President for Culture Zdravko Zima.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
