{"id":4215,"date":"2020-07-13T15:20:31","date_gmt":"2020-07-13T13:20:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/?post_type=news&#038;p=4215"},"modified":"2020-07-16T15:43:09","modified_gmt":"2020-07-16T13:43:09","slug":"president-milanovic-receives-team-of-winning-project-fair-fer-solutions-for-better-community","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/en\/news\/president-milanovic-receives-team-of-winning-project-fair-fer-solutions-for-better-community\/","title":{"rendered":"President Milanovi\u0107 Receives Team of Winning Project \u201cFAIR (FER) Solutions for Better Community\u201c"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 received a project team that worked on a project entitled \u201cFAIR (FER) Solutions for Better Community\u201c, which was awarded first place by an expert jury in the scope of the \u201cEU Sustainable Energy Week\u201d in the \u201cYouth\u201d category.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project was implemented by the Society for Sustainable Development Design (DOOR), a civil society organization of experts devoted to the promotion of sustainable energy development, in partnership with the University of Zagreb\u2019s Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) and the City of Zagreb. The project encompassed energy-poor households in Zagreb, and its goal was to find a systematic approach to solving the problem of energy poverty in Croatia. On the basis of the findings of the fieldwork, FER students developed a model for auditing the energy needs of households, and the findings have already been used in developing policies for the City of Zagreb.
