The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 welcomed today at the Office of the President students from the University of Zagreb Faculty of Law. The group consisted of participants in the Sociology seminar in the first year of the law programme, as well as participants in the Human Rights course in the fourth year of the Social Work programme at the Faculty of Law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his introductory lecture, President Milanovi\u0107 spoke to the students about the constitutional powers of the President of the Republic, with particular emphasis on defence, national security, and foreign policy. In this context, and using concrete examples, he also explained the division of constitutional powers between the President and the Government of the Republic of Croatia. In response to questions from students covering various fields of law, President Milanovi\u0107 elaborated on and explained his views on a number of current Croatian and international topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
