The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 has received a delegation of the association Prvi hrvatski redarstvenik<\/em> [First Croatian Police Officer] composed of the Head of the Association Zdravko Lon\u010dar and members Marko Luki\u0107, Josip Dujmovi\u0107, Kre\u0161o Tolj, Pero Faletar, Drago Dra\u017eeti\u0107, Robert Vuli\u0107, Ivan Babi\u0107, Miro Bunti\u0107, Zdenko Radi\u0107, Rade \u0160u\u0161a and Tomislav \u010colak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representatives of the association expressed their satisfaction due to the fact that the special unit Prvi hrvatski redarstvenik<\/em> was finally granted the status of a wartime unit because, as they emphasized, this corrected the injustice towards the people who in 1990 took part in building the foundations of the Croatian police force. Namely, by a recent Decision of the Ministry of the Interior, the special unit Prvi hrvatski redarstvenik<\/em> was granted the status of a wartime unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members of the delegation discussed with President Milanovi\u0107 the role of the first Croatian police officers in the defense of Croatia and presented their activities and plans for a ceremony marking the 30th<\/sup> anniversary of their first assembly, which should take place on 4 August. They expressed their gratitude to the President of the Republic for recognizing the role and significance of the Prvi hrvatski redarstvenik<\/em> wartime unit. According to the association\u2019s data, 1,800 police officers participated in the first assembly of the unit in August 1990. Today, the association Prvi hrvatski redarstvenik<\/em> has 1,250 members, of whom 178 are still on active duty at the Ministry of the Interior, while 10 are engaged at the Ministry of Defense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
