The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 received a delegation from the \u201cPrva samostalna satnija Podsused\u201d (First Independent Company Podsused), the first armed volunteer and independent unit in the Republic of Croatia not affiliated to the Interior Ministry, which was established on 9 September 1990.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the occasion of the 30th<\/sup> anniversary of the establishment of the \u201cPrva samostalna satnija Podsused\u201d President Milanovi\u0107 reached a decision on the decoration of members of the Company. For displayed courage and heroism in the Homeland War, the President of the Republic of Croatia awarded the Order of Duke Domagoj with Ribbon posthumously to retired major Sini\u0161a Ratkovi\u0107. The Order of Ban Jela\u010di\u0107, for exceptionally successful commanding of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia and outstanding military merit in their structuring and development, was awarded posthumously to major general Gordan \u010ca\u010di\u0107. For outstanding contribution to the development and reputation of the Republic of Croatia and the welfare of its citizens, the Order of the Croatian Interlace was awarded to An\u0111elko Cerovec and Ivan Jozinovi\u0107, and posthumously to Renato Smes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Members of the Company acquainted President Milanovi\u0107 with the circumstances and conditions under which the Company was established as well as its military activities during the Homeland War. During the Homeland War, it comprised 255 members, one of their members was killed and a dozen were wounded.
