The Association was founded ten years ago, in September 2010, with the goal of promoting the activities of on-site officials who care for the conservation of natural resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The members of the Croatian Ranger Association informed President Milanovi\u0107 of their activities including the problems they encounter in the scope of their work. One of them is the reckless disposal of waste in conservation areas for which there are no appropriate sanctions, as was noted at the meeting. However, in talking about their voluntary commitment as rangers, the members of the Association underlined that conservation includes a great deal more than concern about waste disposal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rangers in Croatia are nature protectors who carry out direct supervision of conservation areas, and are employed in public institutions that manage national parks, nature parks or protected areas in counties. Croatia numbers some 150 rangers.
