The sessions of the National Security Council are not to be convened by Mr. Orsat Miljeni\u0107, Head of the Office of the President of the Republic and by Mr. Zvonimir Frka Pete\u0161i\u0107, Head of the Office of the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With all due respect to Messrs. Miljeni\u0107 and Frka Pete\u0161i\u0107, former Ambassador to Morocco, who initially assumed this post on the decision of the then Prime Minister Milanovi\u0107 and the then President of the Republic Ivo Josipovi\u0107, we shall again repeat: The sessions of the National Security Council are co-convened by Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovi\u0107 and President Zoran Milanovi\u0107, who also chairs the sessions pursuant to Article 4, paragraph 3 of the Security and Intelligence System Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the first and the only session of the National Security Council to date, which was co-convened by President Milanovi\u0107 and Prime Minister Plenkovi\u0107 in the spring, the Prime Minister \u2013 with the consent of the President of the Republic \u2013 brought almost all of his ministers to the meeting, including his Government\u2019s Head of Office Frka Pete\u0161i\u0107, although they are not members of the National Security Council. Mr. Orsat Miljeni\u0107, Head of the Office of the President of the Republic, was not present at the session because he is not a member of the National Security Council and because President Milanovi\u0107 respects the Security and Intelligence System Act. After such unlawful actions of the Government, the President of the Republic will now adhere even more strictly to the law, which is his constitutional duty.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
