{"id":7593,"date":"2021-02-04T22:35:00","date_gmt":"2021-02-04T21:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/?post_type=news&#038;p=7593"},"modified":"2021-02-05T10:37:50","modified_gmt":"2021-02-05T09:37:50","slug":"president-of-the-republic-attends-fric-award-presentation-ceremony","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.predsjednik.hr\/en\/news\/president-of-the-republic-attends-fric-award-presentation-ceremony\/","title":{"rendered":"President of the Republic Attends Fric Award Presentation Ceremony"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The President of the Republic Zoran Milanovi\u0107 attended the award ceremony Fric for the best prose fiction of 2019-2020, which was organized by the weekly Express in the Croatian National Theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The finalists of the 2019-2020 Fric award were: Darko Cvijeti\u0107 (\u0160to na podu spava\u0161), Marko Gregur (Vo\u0161icki), Almin Kaplan (Meho), Andrej Nikolaidis (Odlazak), Ivica Prtenja\u010da (Pliva\u010d), \u017delimir Peri\u0161 (Mladenka kostonoga). The award winner was Marko Gregur for his novel \u201cVo\u0161icki\u201d published by Henacoma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the presentation of the works competing for the award, a musical intermezzo and the announcement of the winner, President Milanovi\u0107 noted: \u201cIt confuses you to see such a young man to be the author of this novel, yet young people wrote great works of prose and poetry\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI would like people to read this book and try to understand it, as I will. And how many will do so is good, because it can only do good.
