President Milanović Decorates Retired Colonel Dušan Viro and Posthumously Franciscan Priest Frano Bilokapić
The President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces Zoran Milanović conferred the Order of Ante Starčević on retired colonel Dušan Viro for his contribution to the maintenance and development of the concept of Croatian statehood through the establishment and development of the sovereign Croatian state, and posthumously on Franciscan priest Frano Bilokapić for his outstanding contribution to the development and reputation of the Republic of Croatia and the welfare of its citizens.
President Milanović presented the decorations at a ceremony held in the “Sinjska Alka” museum in Sinj.
In his address President Milanović stated: “Today I am here to give my respects and express gratitude on my behalf and on behalf of the Croatian state by virtue of my authority to two individuals who have done a great human deed, so say witnesses and others, and no one has said otherwise. The Croatian state must take such things into account because such actions are the foundations of our development, existence and formation. I congratulate Toni Paštar, who was the initiator”. The President thanked those in attendance, especially the persons who initiate such events and remember Croatian history.
Attending the ceremony alongside President Milanović was the Adviser to the President of the Republic for Human Rights and Civil Society Melita Mulić and the Special Adviser to the President of the Republic for Homeland War Veterans Marijan Mareković.
