Statement on Accessibility

The Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia strives to make its website accessible in accordance with the Act on the Accessibility of Websites and Programming Solutions for Mobile Devices of Public Sector Bodies (Official Gazette, No. 17/19; hereinafter: the Act), which is transposed into Croatian legislation by Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (SL L 327, 2 DEC 2016).

This Statement on Accessibility applies to the central location of the Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia on the Internet at the address: https://www.predsjednik.hr/

Degree of compliance

The central location on the Internet https://www.predsjednik.hr/ is partially compliant with the Act due to the discrepancies listed below.

Inaccessible content

Inaccessible content and reasons for inaccessibility:

  • It is not possible to activate the option of automatically correcting text entry errors.
  • There is no font change option; the central location on the Internet does not use serif fonts.
  • There are some images that have textual content but are not a logotype.
  • It is not possible to change the contrast of the content.
  • It is not possible to change the size of the letters.
  • Some images do not have next to them an appropriate description.
  • The content of individual links is not clearly described.
  • Videos do not have subheadings.
  • An alternative audio description of the information is partially provided.
  • Some of the uploaded documents are not available in machine-readable format.

The Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia is working to eliminate the observed discrepancies.

Preparation of the Statement on Accessibility

This statement was prepared on 28 October 2020, in accordance with the Statement on Accessibility Template, which is in line with the Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies, and which was established by the Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/1523.

The assessment of compliance with accessibility requirements is the result of a self-evaluation performed by the Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia.

The statement was last reviewed on 28 October 2020. The Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia will regularly revise this statement after eliminating the reasons for the inaccessibility of particular content.
