President Milanović in Vrbovec: Take Care of your Health, Think of Yourselves, Get Vaccinated!
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović attended the 40th edition of the tourist and culinary event entitled “Kaj su jeli naši stari” (What our Old Folks Ate) in Vrbovec. This jubilee event to be held from 27 to 29 August in Vrbovec was postponed last year due to the unfavourable epidemiological situation.
In his address, President Milanović, under whose auspices the event is being held, said that the tourist and culinary event “Kaj su jeli naši stari” was all about preserving tradition. “What you have been doing for forty years now is not so much about tourism but about preserving tradition, what we are and what you are, that is what is more important”, the President noted.
He underlined that the greatest value of such events is to preserve the memory. “You are preserving the memory, the material memory of something that is part of you. That is important, that counts,” he added.
“Take care of your health. First of all of your health, then you will take care of others. Think about yourselves, get vaccinated if you have not yet done so. If you haven’t, think about it, then get vaccinated, if not, eat well and have a good time”, President Milanović concluded his address.
Besides President Milanović, the Mayor of Vrbovec Denis Kralj and the Deputy County Prefect of Zagreb County Damir Tomljenović addressed the residents of Vrbovec and their guests. Alongside President Milanović was the Special Adviser to the President for the Economy Velibor Mačkić.
