President Milanović Receives Delegation of Association for Promoting Positive Affirmation of Youth in Society “Impress” Daruvar

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović met with representatives of the Association for Promoting Positive Affirmation of Youth in Society “Impress” Daruvar, an association of and for youth that provides numerous opportunities to young people in Bjelovar-Bilogora County and on the territory of the Republic of Croatia.

The Association representatives acquainted President Milanović with activities they undertake through their projects, 17 at the time being, and with the Association’s past activities of the last twelve years. From the onset Impress has united numerous enthusiasts and volunteers who wish to have a positive impact on their community, through numerous activities of a formal and non-formal education, acquiring new knowledge, skills and experience, help all generations realize their potential and be an asset to their community. Our vision is to do positive things, not make decisions for others, but rather give them the opportunity to choose.

The Association representatives noted that they are also active in the Croatian Government’s Council for Youth and that with their in-field experience they make recommendations for improving life conditions for the youth in the Republic of Croatia. As an example of the Association’s achievements, they underlined assistance to the youth in obtaining employment and ensuring conditions for the development of the youth in their local areas. Besides Daruvar they have offices in Bjelovar, Grubišno Polje and Zagreb.

At the meeting in the Office of the President of the Republic were the president of the Association Impress Daruvar Tanja Herceg, executive director Dubravko Šopar, vice president Vladimir Kerečeni, and coordinators Nikolina Vojta and Leo Fel. Alongside President Milanović was the Adviser to the President for Education Jadranka Žarković.
