President Milanović Meets with Delegation of MUP ’91 Reservists Volunteers Association from Mostar
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović spoke today in his Office with a delegation of the MUP ’91 Reservists Association of Volunteers of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton from Mostar. The meeting was held to observe the joining of the reserve police force by a group of volunteers, which took place at the invitation of the then Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina 30 years ago.
The MUP ’91 Reservists Association of Volunteers of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton from Mostar was founded in March last year. It has joined together some 300 former members of the reserve and regular police force who fought in the war. The delegation informed President Milanović of the role of the police force during the war, pointing out that the reservists performed their tasks professionally whilst bearing in mind and abiding by international humanitarian law.
Attending the meeting at the Office of the President were Association President Ivan Milas, Vice President Mario Bevanda and member of the Presidency of the Association Ninoslav Rukelj. Special Adviser to the President of the Republic for Homeland War Veterans Marijan Mareković was alongside President Milanović at the meeting.
