President Milanović Meets with Croatian Bridge Federation Members

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović received a delegation of the Croatian Bridge Federation including representative bridge players and coaches that participate in European and world championships, and international tournaments.

The Croatian Bridge Federation was founded in 1991 in Zagreb and is a member of the Croatian Olympic Committee and international bridge organizations. Its membership totals 500. The Federation representatives noted that they hold state championships in a number of categories on a regular basis, and that they are very active in the organization of world and European competitions. In the last ten years many such prestigious bridge events were held in Croatia and have contributed to the international recognition and image of Croatia on the world bridge scene.

Attending the meeting in the Office of the President were longstanding president of the Croatian Bridge Federation and president of the Discipline Commission in the European and World Bridge Federations, professionally certified bridge coach and member of the Presidency of the Zagreb Bridge Federation Jadranka Vukomanović-Pavelić, longstanding president of the Zagreb Bridge Federation and promoter of bridge in Zagreb Drago Diklić, professionally certified bridge coach, world and state champion and representative player Nikica Šver, professionally certified bridge coach, world and state champion and representative player Marina Philipović, professionally certified bridge coach and president of the Zagreb Bridge Federation Dubravko Diklić, professionally certified bridge coach and bridge instructor Sandra Havliček, professionally certified bridge coach and secretary of the Zagreb Bridge Federation Tomislav Šašek, professionally certified bridge coach and commissioner for student bridge players at the University of Zagreb Sports Federation Tihana Brkljačić, and professionally certified bridge coach, state champion and representative, creator of the Croatian online bridge platform Goran Borevković.

Alongside President Milanović was his Commissioner for Sports Željko Jovanović.
