President Milanović Meets with Croatian Fraternal Union National Secretary Bernadette Luketich-Sikaras

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović met with Bernadette Luketich-Sikaras, National Secretary/Treasurer of the Croatian Fraternal Union of America, the oldest and largest organization of Croatians in North America. Accompanying Mrs. Luketich-Sikaras at the meeting with President Milanović was the Head of the Emigrant Communities Information Department Mirjana Ana-Maria Piskulić.

During their meeting Mrs. Luketich-Sikaras informed President Milanović of the Croatian Fraternal Union’s activities including the CFU Scholarship Fund with which they support deserving students. There was also talk about the challenges of maintaining contacts between the diaspora and Croatia, particularly in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Croatian Fraternal Union of America was founded in 1894. It is a fraternal and charitable society of the Croatian diaspora with headquarters in Pittsburgh.
