President Milanović Visits KRAŠ Company Celebrating 110 Years of Business
On Tuesday 25 January, the President of the Republic Zoran Milanović visited the KRAŠ food company on the occasion of its 110th anniversary. He started his visit to the oldest Croatian confectionery manufacturer by meeting with members of the Management and Supervisory Boards of the KRAŠ food company.
KRAŠ Management Board president Slavko Ledić, Board members Damir Bulić and Davor Bošnjaković, Supervisory Board chairman Zoran Parać, member of the Supervisory Board Nevena Pivac and head of Management Board Office Goran Lovrek acquainted President Milanović with company results and plans for the company’s development, which can boast of being a leader in Croatia’s economy. Today KRAŠ is a modern company successfully adapting to challenges and demands of the market, and bases its business on high quality standards, a wide selection of goods, well-known brands and a century-old tradition.
After touring the factory’s production line President Milanović said that he wishes KRAŠ to have two, not one billion kunas of business. “This ambition seems high to me, but realistic. The company has held quite a strong position on the market and has kept it. However, one has to advance. The same goes for Podravka, those are companies I am rooting for because I think they are necessary”, President Milanović told reporters when asked to comment the company’s success.
Asked if it matters who the owner is, President Milanović replied that it always has some influence, but that the company is “evidently in good shape, it can do more. There are other manufacturers in the confectionary industry and that is why I should stop here”, the President noted.
Alongside President Milanović were the Head of the Cabinet of the President Bartol Šimunić, the Special Adviser to the President for the Economy Velibor Mačkić and the Assistant Adviser to the President for the Economy Martina Ciglević.
