President Milanović Speaks with President-elect of Chile Gabriel Boric
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović spoke today on the phone with the President-elect of Chile Gabriel Boric Font. President Milanović once again congratulated Boric on the election victory and regretted that he will not be able to attend the presidential inauguration on the 11th of March.
President Milanović and President-elect Boric agreed that the Croatian community plays an important role in the social and political life of Chile. Thanks to that community, Croatia and Chile have had centuries-old close ties, they added. President Milanović and President-elect Boric exchanged views on the current situation in the world, with emphasis on the crisis in Europe.
President-elect Boric invited President Milanović to visit Chile and the Croatian President accepted Boric’s invitation. They agreed to be in constant friendly contact.
