Presidents Milanović and Pahor Discuss Security Situation in Europe and Rights of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The President of the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanović met today in Zagreb with the President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor, who paid a working visit to Croatia.

Presidents Milanović and Pahor talked about relations between Croatia and Slovenia, about the situation in the region and the security situation in Europe following Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. President Milanović informed President Pahor of his positions on Bosnia and Herzegovina, that is, the need to ensure through a change of the election law, the right of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a constituent people to elect their own representatives to all government bodies.

Furthermore, as the chairs the two presidents discussed plans to hold a meeting of the Brdo-Brijuni Process this year, as well as a trilateral meeting of the presidents of Croatia, Slovenia and Austria, to be held in June in Croatia.

A new meeting between the two presidents has been scheduled to take place in Rijeka on 10 May, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Federation of Slovenian Associations in Croatia.
