President Milanović to Participate in International Prespa Forum Dialogue in Ohrid
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović will be on a working visit to Ohrid, Republic of North Macedonia, on Thursday and Friday 16 & 17 June 2022, where he will participate in an international Prespa Forum Dialogue.
The host of the Prespa Forum is the President of the Republic of North Macedonia Stevo Pendarovski, and the theme of this year’s edition of the Prespa Forum is “Shaping Western Balkans Future in the Contemporary European Security Architecture”.
President Milanović will participate in the official high level opening session of the Prespa Forum, which will also include the following participants: the President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor, the President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, the President of Montenegro Milo Đukanović, and the President of the European Council Charles Michel. Planned for the opening session is discussion on the integration of countries of South East Europe to the European Union, including challenges associated with this process, and the impact of the war in Ukraine on the European Union’s enlargement policy.
During his visit to Ohrid, President Milanović will hold a working meeting with the host of the Forum the President of the Republic of North Macedonia Stevo Pendarovski, as well as a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu who will also participate in a part of the Forum.
The Prespa Forum Dialogue (PFD) is a platform created by the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia to enable countries, leaders, organizations, and citizens to build long-term relationships and strengthen partnerships. The Forum aims to inspire and promote good-neighbourly relations and cooperation.
