Your Achievements Fill Me with Awe

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović attended a prize-giving ceremony for participants of the World Para Alpine Skiing Europa CUP.

Congratulating participants on the prizes, President Milanović stated that their achievements inspire both shock and awe, not only because of the efforts required to achieve such results, but because of the energy, will and human need for competition. “This is one of the things that simply bring a person down to earth. Some may call this humility, but it is not necessarily humility, but respect. It is a pleasure to be here and I wish you the best”, President Milanović stated in his address.

The World Para Alpine Skiing Europa CUP finals in technical disciplines, slalom and giant slalom, were held on the Sljeme slope from 26 to 29 February 2020 with the participation of 80 competitors-athletes with disabilities from 17 countries.
