President Milanović Receives Rector of “Dr. Franjo Tuđman“ Defence and Security University

The President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces Zoran Milanović received today the rector of the “Dr. Franjo Tuđman“ Defence and Security University, Prof.  Ivica Lučić and his associates. 

Rector Lučić informed President Milanović of the founding process, past activities and plans of the Defence and Security University. The University’s primary activity is educating future Croatian Army officers and employees in other government bodies whose affairs and competences are within the domain of defence and national security. In accordance with the Founding Act of the “Dr. Franjo Tuđman“ Defence and Security University, the University took over in 2024 the study programme “Naval Warfare” from the University of Split and in 2025 the study programmes “Military Leadership and Management“ and “Military Engineering“ from the University of Zagreb.

The University delegation also included Captain (N) Prof. Luka Mihanović who is the vice chancellor for teaching, student affairs and quality management, and retired Brigadier General Zdravko Jakop. Alongside President Milanović were the Head of the Office of the President of the Republic Orsat Miljenić and the Adviser to the President for Defence Ivica Olujić.
